Created in March 1980 and using the extensive experience of its founders in the cork industry, Vinocor™ is a company specialized in the production of wine corks. To achieve the quality level known as “Total Quality” inside Vinocor, the best and most recent technologies available are always used.

Vinocor USA was created in February 2001 as the exclusive Vinocor representative in North-America serving the United States and Canada.

A major factor in achieving Vinocor's "Total Quality" concept is traceability. And only a truly vertically integrated company like Vinocor can assure a real traceability of product.

One of the big advantages of vertical integration is the consistency and sharing of procedures and projects. Vinocor USA shares QC, Production and R&D procedures and resources with the rest of Vinocor Group. This way QC tests are duplicated in consistent and controlled ways on both sides of the Atlantic

New products are developed in joint projects between Vinocor Portugal, Vinocor USA and some of our best local customers.

Vinocor is a 25 year old group, created by a group of cork industry executives that believed that they could create a different cork company - the best cork company.
In a time when the cork industry was still viewed as an archaic and traditional industry, Vinocor took the lead and became in1994 the first Portuguese cork company certified by the ISO 9002 norms.

In 1997 Vinocor again took the lead. Vinocor won a European Union design contest with the project "Suber XXI". With this contest the European Union wanted to help create the most advanced cork production facility in the world. This facility has now been working at full speed since early 2003, producing corks with a quality unmatched by any other company in the cork industry.

Our policy is very simple: in the pursuit of the perfect cork, Vinocor manufactures and distributes only its own products so that our customers know they are using the best corks available in the world.
